Solar Eclipses - Annular - August 22nd 1998

Information:

An Annular Eclipse was visible from Sumatra, Borneo and Papua New Guinea. From Australia a slight partial eclipse was visible. From Perth is was very partial and began at 8:50 and ended at 10:00

Observation:

I had just purchased a solar filter for my 8" telescope, so this eclipse was the first chance I had to use it. I had also hoped to take some pictures through my telescope but my camera adapter hadn't arrived in time. This eclipse was very slight, however it was still interesting to observe.
