Lunar Eclipses - Partial - July 5th 2001
 

Information:

The second lunar eclipse of the year is a partial one that is visible from Australia, New Zealand and Eastern Asia.

Local Circumstances

Moon Enters Penumbra - 20:10 (local WA Time)
Moon enters Umbra - 21:35
Middle of Eclipse - 22:55
Moon leaves Umbra - 00:15 (July 16th)
Moon leaves Penumbra - 01:39
Magnitude of Eclipse - 0.4995

Observation:

Good (but cold weather) gave good viewing during the evening. I observed the eclipse from my parents house as it has an excellent view to the east.
